The Walhalla Goldfields Railway is home to the charming Walhalla Goods Shed Café, run by two passionate locals, Scott and Mark. Located ​on the platform at Walhalla Station, the café provides a welcoming and cozy respite for visitors to the historic town. Both Scott and Mark are inspired by the unique environment of Walhalla, with its rich cultural heritage and stunning natural beauty. They are committed to preserving the town's history while creating a warm and inviting space for locals and visitors alike to enjoy delicious food and coffee. The Goods Shed

The Goods Shed Café, is a casual space serving a selection of heart warming meals all year round.  You can choose from the daily menu, a variety of tasty light meals as well as delicious hot meals.  Enjoy a selection of light refreshments including fresh salad sandwiches, toasted sandwich, cakes, muffins and ice creams, cappuccinos, tea and icy cold drinks. The shed is warm and cozy in winter  and cool and breezy in summer.  There's plenty of seating to enjoy yourself in one of the most fabulous natural environments in Victoria, we are family friendly and cater for children and even your dog is welcome.

Remember to pre-order your meal on arrival before you leave for your historic Walhalla train ride, your order will be ready on your return to the Station

The Goods Shed Cafe is a unique venue that provides a fully serviced commercial Kitchen, to accommodate a variety of catering needs, including buffet-style meals and plated dinners with ample function space and plenty of seating options.  The Goods Shed and the station platform present an exceptional backdrop for any occasion, equipped to handle large and small events.

In recent years the Goods Shed has hosted, murder mysteries, an 1800s Gold heist reenactment, a fancy dress tribute to the White Star Titanic, and of course Elvis himself has graced the station platform to shake, rattle and roll.  The station's historic charm and rustic appeal make it an ideal choice for those seeking a distinctive and memorable experience. Private Campground

Scott and Mark operate Coopers Creek private campground, open year round for bookings. The historical town of Coopers Creek was settled during the Gold rush in the 1860s, mining gold, copper and lime before it closed in 1915. The campgrounds are nestled in the heart of Victoria's high country. Perfect for 4WD off-road adventures, mountain biking and hiking. Coopers Creek is known for its natural beauty, and is situated on the Thomson river, great for trout fishing, swimming, and water sports such as Kayaking, canoeing and rafting. The Thomson river also has several walking tracks along its banks, which offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Coopers Creek is one of Victoria's best kept secrets and offers a unique camping experience, in a family friendly envirnment with excellent facilities including a picnic area and toilets. Walhalla is approximately 182 Kilometers from Melbourne, by car. Travel from Melbourne involves traveling along the princess freeway (M1) and then taking the Moe exit  (A440) to join the Mount Baw Baw Tourist Road (C466) Which leads straight to Walhalla. There is plenty of  accommodation in Walhalla and surrounds.
